I tried to pretend I was a fun mom today, so I made play-dough from scratch with my littles. Emily held it for a minute, informed me that it smelled gross and refused to touch it again.
I pretended to be a cool mom yesterday as well. We made goop (cornstarch water thing). Unfortunately, I was going for more of a slime but missed the bar. Cooper lost interest after he helped dump in the cornstarch. Kami took about 5 minutes to get into it and then 5 minutes to get out of it. We should have gone for the fingerpaint...
Okay, you cease to amaze me. You have to be the #1 mom in the Dakota's. You always do fun and creative things for and with your girls. Thanks for being such a great example to all moms (and grandma's).
Also, thank you for the cute b-day gift. I found your voice message and gift while tripping out the front door to find the newspaper tonight. I was so exhausted from a day filled with back-to-back meetings, which included City Council. I got home close to 8:00 p.m. and found the surprises you left on my front door. I was so surprised!
Everytime I look at my new Willow Tree I will think of you and your family, and all the fun things we did together! Quinn and I have been so blessed to have your family as our adopted kids and grandkids! There will be lots of tears on this end when you guys move.

At least you try to pretend...some of us don't even get that far. I would have played with it if I was there, if that makes you feel any better!
That's like going all out and buying them the Christmas gift they wanted really really bad and then they play more with the box!
